- AI-powered trip planning assistance
- Trip planning tools including links to third-party flight, hotel, and activity booking services
3. User Accounts
Some features require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@epictripscore.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You may not create an account using false information, impersonate another person, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
4. User-Generated Content
You may submit trip reports, forum posts, photos, and other content ("User Content") to the Service. By submitting User Content, you grant Epic Trips a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post content that:
- Is false, misleading, or defamatory
- Infringes any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights
- Is hateful, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory
- Contains spam, malware, or phishing material
- Violates any applicable law
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms at our sole discretion.
5. Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships
Epic Trips participates in affiliate programs with gear retailers and travel services. When you click certain links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on relevant pages.
Affiliate commissions do not influence our destination scoring. Epic Scores are computed purely from historical climate data and are not affected by commercial relationships.
Third-party booking services (flights, hotels, car rentals, activities) are independent of Epic Trips. Any transactions you complete with those services are governed by their own terms and conditions. Epic Trips is not responsible for third-party bookings, cancellations, or disputes.
6. Accuracy of Information
Epic Trips uses historical weather data to compute destination scores. While we strive for accuracy, all scores and recommendations are based on historical averages and do not constitute a forecast or guarantee of future conditions.
Adventure travel involves inherent risk. Epic Scores are one planning tool among many — you should consult current forecasts, local authorities, and professional guides before any trip. Epic Trips is not liable for any decisions made based on our scores or recommendations.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Service without our written permission
- Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent our scoring algorithms
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam)
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Use automated tools to create accounts or submit searches at scale
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Epic Trips that is not User Content — including the scoring engine, design, software, text, and graphics — is owned by or licensed to Epic Trips and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Destination photographs are sourced from Pexels and are subject to the Pexels license. You may not download or reproduce those images outside the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. EPIC TRIPS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EPIC TRIPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO EPIC TRIPS IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Epic Trips and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@epictripscore.com.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of California.
